Here is a link to a screencast video that provides an overview of our Remote Learning program for our students. Thank you for sharing this with you child(ren). For families that are waiting on a device and/or internet hotspot from the school, we will be making all of those deliveries on Monday. We are on track to meet the needs of all families that have communicated with us.

Extended closure, family needs, & resources

As you are aware, yesterday Governor JB Pritzker announced mandatory stay at home procedures for all of Illinois. Furthermore, the closure of schools throughout the state was extended through at least April 7th. As we move forward, our district will collaborate with the other township districts and those throughout the state to follow the guidance of the CDC, state and local health departments in making a determination about when it is safe to reopen.

Niles Township School Closings

Based on the rapidly developing spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19, and in order to err on the side of caution in doing everything possible to prevent the spread of the virus, Niles Township school districts have decided that Friday, March 13 will be the last day for students to attend school, at least until the end of spring break, which goes through March 29.

Township Health Update

All the public school districts that serve the students of Niles Township, including Niles Township District for Special Education, have been working collaboratively to monitor developments in our community regarding COVID-19 (the coronavirus). We have been in ongoing communication with the Skokie Health Department, which provides us guidance on specific questions we have, and have also been following updates from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), Cook County Public Health Department, the Illinois State Board of Education and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
