
Thank you to our Leadership Team for presenting this morning at our weekly teacher professional development meeting. Staff heard about the power of collective teacher efficacy and the factors that have an impact on student achievement.


Our second-grade scientists began their unit on the life cycles of plants. Our students planted in their classrooms with peer buddies. They will learn to take scientific data and spend time discussing their hypothesis and conclusions. #secondGRADE

It was wonderful to have the opportunity to come together to share about all the incredible things we are doing this year at EPS and the support available in our community.

Last week, third grade students worked together to make beautiful pieces in art class!


We are excited to welcome the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile back at EPS on Friday, September 27th! They are providing FREE physicals and vaccines to any student without insurance or currently covered by all kids/medicaid. Please contact our school office with any questions.


Our PTA Fall Fest is TOMORROW Saturday, September 14th. The event will be held in the East Prairie courtyard from 10:00 am -12:00 pm. Come out and be a part of the action for a free festival, filled with games, food, and fun!

Board of Education meeting TONIGHT at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to join us for this meeting. Please enter through the district office door located on main circle drive - the regular meeting begins at 7:00 PM and will take place in our Plotkin Boardroom.

Yesterday our second graders in Mrs Mansour's class showed their love for teamwork. Students spent time working on a "Team Building Tuesday" activity promoting relationships in a group along with a positive environment in our classroom. #teamBUILDING


Thank you to our EPS Staff for working so hard during our Wednesday morning professional development. This past week was an incredibly informative presentation by our own, Mrs. Mansour, about mindfulness and regulating breathing. After teachers learned some new strategies to implement in their classrooms, we spent time setting team and individual goals.



PTA-sponsored “Meet & Greet” for kindergarten & new families will be held tomorrow morning, at 11:00 am. This event will be at Hamlin Park (located one block East of East Prairie). Please note, that ALL East Prairie families are welcome and encouraged to attend this event.

Our first week was a huge success! We finished the week with the excitement of a Pep Rally! We introduced new staff, celebrated back to school, and reviewed expectations.
