Reminder that tomorrow is our LAST DAY OF SCHOOL for the year. We will have a fun field day throughout the day so please make sure your child has a water bottle, hat and sunscreen. Student dismissal is 2:45 pm for all grades-


Join us TODAY for the PTA end of year picnic! The festivities will take place from 3:00-5:30PM. There will be food for purchase courtesy of TBK Grill, a shaved ice truck, games, music, fun, and a fire truck (squirting water)! We look forward to bringing everyone together!

TONIGHT- Join us as we celebrate our graduates this evening at 6:30 PM in our school atrium! Doors open at 6:00 PM and seating selection will be first come, first serve. We are asking all of our graduates to please meet in the large gym at 6:00 PM, ready in their cap and gown. Congratulations to our Class of 2024!


It was a packed house at EPS tonight for our Kindergarten & First-Grade Music Concert! Congrats to all our incredible students on a successful show! A huge thank you to Mr. Oliveira for a fantastic music concert and Ms Wade for the artwork displays of student work. We appreciate all of the EPS teachers, staff, parents, and community members who attended to support our amazing students.


MEMORIAL DAY- NO SCHOOL TOMORROW- We will see students back in the building on Tuesday!


Congratulations to the inaugural East Prairie-Niles North Mentor Class. We are so grateful for a successful mentor experience for all our students. Thank you to our middle-school EPS staff and the NNHS Staff for helping make this program so successful. A huge shout out to our Instruction & Innovation Coordinator, Mrs. Mortel, and NNHS Athletic Director, Brett Bildstein, for their collaboration in bringing this program to our school.


Please join us TONIGHT at 6:30 PM in the large gym for a symphony of sound! All of East Prairie's bands from grades 4-8 and the middle school orchestra grades 6-8 will perform their final concert of the year! Come hear what is sure to be an amazing showcase of their progress this year. Students performing should arrive early, by 6:15 PM, and come to the band room.


On behalf of East Prairie School and our East Prairie Educational Foundation we would like to congratulate Fiona VanOsdol as this year’s recipient of the Plotkin Scholarship! Fiona’s leadership and commitment to education are commendable. Join us in celebrating Fiona TONIGHT at 7:00 pm in the school atrium.


Math/STEAM night is TONIGHT! Join us for an hour filled with hands-on experiments led by members of our staff, our very own EPS STEAM students, and University of Chicago scientists! Come and explore the different booths that represent the five disciplines of STEAM, including an opportunity to make your own ice cream! Our Science Lab and Community Connections Center will also be open for families to tour.


Board Meeting Tonight! Join us tonight at EPS for our Board of Education meeting. Our meeting begins at 7:00 PM. Please enter through our district office door located in the circle drive. Our meeting will be in the Plotkin Boardroom.


Thank you to Ms Hernandez for this fun after-school club. Our young learners participated in a Dramatic Play Club. Students loved the hands-on creative play while also having the opportunity to develop problem-solving skills in this FUN after-school club.


Congrats to our varsity volleyball team on their Championship WIN in the Little Nine Conference! We are so proud of our team! Thank you to Coach Karpenski for his hard work and dedication to our players. #WIN


"Nurses Make the Difference" Happy Nurses Appreciation Week- A HUGE shout out to our incredible Nurse Hannah. We are so grateful for the love, caring and support you give to all of our EPS community every single day.
